Everyone loves holidays. There’s just something so awesome about getting the day off work, chilling with your friends and just taking it easy. But nobody gets more excited about the holidays than email marketers. That’s because the holiday season is one of the rare occasions when subscribers hope, nay, yearn, for emails to flood their inboxes. It’s a time where people actually welcome and look forward to all those emails you’ve been sending.

And boy, do businesses know it. Come holiday season, there are holiday email marketing campaigns everywhere as companies rush to cash in on a spending frenzy. And while most of the emails are spam-filled junk, there are a few gems that show more than a little creativity and even a touch of email marketing brilliance. Here are our picks for the top holiday email marketing campaigns. Enjoy!

It’s pretty safe to say that J.Crew won over the Internet with this awesome Christmas email. From the playful copy to the uber cute mouse, this holiday email truly represents the best of email marketing.

Getting promotional emails during the holiday season is no big surprise. But receiving a $50 gift voucher is definitely something Ray-Ban’s subscribers were not expecting. With such a great deal going, we’re betting Ray-Ban had loads of customers using their gift vouchers the moment they received it.

La Mer

La Mer really captured the Christmas spirit with this holiday email. In a stroke of pure genius, the marketers at La Mer created a unique connection with the season by using the popular song ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ to promote its products.

But it’s not just B2C retailers that are using holiday email campaigns to draw their audience.

WeWork, an American company that provides shared workspaces and services for businesses, created a special holiday gift guide that features products from its member companies. In doing so, it not only strengthened its branding but, more importantly, delivered on its mission of supporting its community of creators. Win, win!

Dating app Hinge took the digital dating game to the next level with this brilliant email that subtly informed its subscribers of its recent rebranding and growth while thanking them for their support. And by sending this email at a time where people are most likely looking (or hoping) for ‘someone special’, it’s almost a given that Hinge saw a massive surge in its number of members.

Of all the things we like about these campaigns, it’s the warm, fuzzy feelings they fill us with. So have fun and go crazy when you’re creating your own holiday emails. At the end of the day, the more memorable your holiday email is, the more likely your customers will remember it.
